A terrible accident took place at a factory in Tennessee. Sixteen people lost their lives when the factory exploded. The factory, called Accurate Energetic Systems (AES), was in Hickman County. The explosion happened early in the morning on October 10. No one survived.
The sheriffs of Humphreys County and Hickman County shared the names of those who died. They asked everyone to support the families left behind. The cause of the explosion is still not clear. Investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) are looking into it.
Among those who died was Mindy Clifton. She worked in corrections for 20 years before moving to Tennessee for a job at AES. Her former colleague, Matt Reinhart, remembered her as one of the best people he worked with. He asked everyone to keep her family in their thoughts.
LaTeisha Mays was another victim. She was only 26 years old and had worked at AES for eight months. Her family said she was the one who kept them together. Her classmate, Tyler Bailey, remembered her as a kind and caring person.
Tiffany Story attended a vigil for the victims. She used to babysit one of the victims, Rachel Woodall. Woodall started working at AES about a month before the explosion. She was a production manager and had recently graduated from high school.
Jeremy Moore worked at AES for 17 years. His mother, Ava Hinson, confirmed his death after authorities told her. He died just 10 days before his 38th birthday. Trenton "Trent" Stewart was also among the victims. He worked in production at AES and was a firefighter and pastor. He often live-streamed his sermons and focused on showing love and kindness.
