During a recent meeting in South Korea, U. S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping made some big decisions. One of the key points was about fentanyl, a dangerous drug. The U. S. will now charge a lower tax, or tariff, on Chinese goods linked to fentanyl. It went from 20% to 10%. Trump believes China is serious about stopping the flow of this drug. The meeting was called "amazing" by Trump. He mentioned that China will start buying a lot of U. S. farm products, like soybeans, right away. They also agreed on a deal about rare earths, which are important for technology. This deal will last a year and can be extended. China wanted the U. S. to lower the 20% tariff on fentanyl-related goods. Trump had said he would do this if China promised to stop the flow of chemicals used to make fentanyl. These chemicals are a big reason why so many people in the U. S. are dying from overdoses. Trump shared these updates with reporters on his way back from South Korea.
