NASA has just shared a bunch of new pictures of a comet that's not from around here. This comet, called 3I/ATLAS, is only the third one we've ever seen that's from another star system. Even with a government shutdown slowing things down, NASA's spacecraft managed to snap some great shots. The pictures came from different missions, like the Perseverance rover on Mars and the Lucy spacecraft studying asteroids. Nicky Fox, a big shot at NASA, said they were really happy to have so many spacecraft ready to check out this comet. Scientists first spotted 3I/ATLAS in July using a telescope in Chile. It was moving super fast and in a weird way, which told them it wasn't from our solar system. Since then, they've been trying to learn as much as possible about it before it leaves. The comet is special because it has a lot of carbon dioxide, which suggests it formed in a really cold place, far from its star. Scientists think it might have been warmed up by a star before it visited us. NASA's James Webb Space Telescope will try to get more pictures of the comet in December. This might be our last chance to see it as it heads out of our solar system. Who knows what else we'll learn about this cosmic traveler?
