A Musician's Journey: Cleto Escobedo's Legacy

Cleto Escobedo, a talented saxophonist, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of music and laughter. His journey began in Las Vegas, where he and his best friend, Jimmy Kimmel, shared a love for comedy and pranks. Although the album didn't launch a solo career, it opened doors for him to perform with notable artists like Luis Miguel and Marc Anthony. When Jimmy Kimmel launched his late-night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2003, he hired Escobedo's band, Cleto and the Cletones, to be the house band. The band included Escobedo's father, making them the only known father-son duo performing together on late-night television. Kimmel praised Escobedo's talent, humor, and kindness, describing him as a beloved figure both on and off the stage. Escobedo's sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues.
