Cannes, FranceSun May 17 2026
Paris, Hong Kong and Los Angeles‑based All Rights Entertainment has announced the international sales launch of “Christopher Hope and the Secret of Napoleon” at the Cannes Film Market. The film brings together Frankie Muniz, Christopher Lloyd and Thomas Lemoine in a family adventure that marks the first part of a planned trilogy. The story centers on a history student who is pulled into a race to uncover a long‑buried secret that Napoleon supposedly hid in Paris. He teams up with his best friend and another student as they follow clues that link events from centuries ago to the present. The plot is said to echo popular adventure titles like “National Treasure” and “The Da Vinci Code. ” Muniz, best known for his role in “Malcolm in the Middle, ” and Lloyd, who has appeared in many mainstream franchises, add a cross‑generational appeal to the cast. Lloyd also played Malcolm’s grandfather in the original series, giving fans a nostalgic connection. Thomas Lemoine, who recently worked with Pierre Lottin in “In Custody” and will star in the upcoming Netflix series “The Countess of Monte Cristo, ” completes the leading trio.
Peter Lyons Collister directs the film, drawing on experience as a cinematographer and second‑unit director for blockbusters such as “Sonic the Hedgehog, ” “The Lost City, ” and “Transformers. ” The cinematography will be handled by Jörg Widmer, who has collaborated with Terrence Malick on “The Tree of Life” and other projects. AuldLands Films and Future Vision Ltd. produce the movie, with support from Screen Malta. The producers describe it as a true family adventure designed for today’s global audience, combining mystery, historical depth and an emotional core. They hope the first chapter of the trilogy will spark curiosity, courage and discovery in younger viewers while entertaining audiences worldwide.
