Google is bringing its new voice assistant, Gemini, to more TVs. Until now, only a few smart TVs had this feature. But now, if you have a Google TV Streamer, you can try it out. All you need is a TV with an HDMI port, a good internet connection, and your streamer should be ready to go.
Gemini is different from the old Google Assistant. It talks more like a person. You can ask it for movie suggestions based on what you and your friends like. Or, you can ask it to summarize the last season of a show. It can also help with smart home tasks, like showing you a camera feed.
The update is rolling out over the next few weeks. So, if you don't see it right away, don't worry. To check if it's available, go to your Google TV Streamer settings. Look for your account under "Accounts & Profiles" and then select "Voice Assistant. " If your device is eligible, you should see an option for "Gemini for TV. "
This is a big step for Google. It's making its new voice assistant more accessible. But will it be better than the old one? Only time will tell. For now, it's worth trying out if you have a Google TV Streamer.
