A Tale of Success and Blame Games

Clark Hunt is not one to make light of accusations made by other teams about the Chiefs. Hunt is the Owner of the Kansas City Chiefs and he doesn’t think other NFL teams have the right to blame referees for their losses. The Chiefs have never done it before, but are now close to making history with a third consecutive Super Bowl win. Hunt thinks the talk about refs favoring them is just sour grapes. Clark Hunt was asked on a football show about the theory that referees are favoring the Chiefs in their games. He didn’t hesitate to shoot it down. There is definitely no secret plot involving referees and the NFL office to make the Chiefs win, right? He just laughed at the thought. It’s clear to him that this is a game of football. If a team is doing well, their opponents will always find excuses to explain their success. That's just how it is. It's the nature of the beast. Of course, it is possible to think that the Chiefs have gotten some lucky calls, but it is hard to know for sure. It is easy to dismiss the conspiracy theorists who think games are being fixed and the Chiefs favored. This is the hard part of the process. However, it is hard to improve the officials to the point where fans are convinced that the game is decided by the players and not the referees. The fact is the Kansas City Chiefs are a strong team and they have the talent to win games. They don’t have to win by cheating. They have to know the rules and understand how to play the game. It’s a part of the game. And that’s a fact. The Chiefs are not a team you want to face in the playoffs. The team is smart and they have the best players.
