The pattern continues Monday, keeping skies clear and temperatures in the mid-70s to mid-80s.But Tuesday could break some heat records. Forecasters expect temperatures over 90 degrees in many areas. Springfield might hit 95, while Boston and Worcester could reach 90 and 92. Boston’s record for that day is 90, set in 2017. Even the coast gets a slight cooldown on Wednesday, but inland spots could still sizzle past 90.
