Amazon Warehouse Heist: One Suspect Still on the Loose

A recent crime at an Amazon fulfillment center in Channahon, Illinois, has led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for a sixth suspect. The 27-year-old, Isreael Davis, is accused of playing a significant role in the October 15th burglary. This incident involved a group of individuals stealing high-value items, including computer monitors and vacuums, worth between $10, 000 and $100, 000. Davis is facing multiple charges, including theft, burglary, criminal damage to property, and aggravated fleeing from police. The criminal complaint details how Davis allegedly damaged a fence and security cameras at the warehouse, causing over $500 in damage. Additionally, he is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase, driving at least 21 mph over the speed limit while ignoring overhead lights and sirens. The incident began when witnesses reported seeing six to seven people loading large boxes into a U-Haul van and a silver SUV. Police pursued the vehicles, leading to a dramatic chase that ended with the deployment of tire deflation devices. Five suspects were apprehended, but Davis remains at large. The stolen goods, valued at over $30, 000, were recovered from the vehicles involved in the heist. The arrested suspects were taken to the Will County Jail.
