Police in Arizona have finally caught a man who's been terrorizing a political office for weeks. The 60-year-old suspect, Jeffrey Michael Kelly, was arrested for shooting at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) office in Tempe multiple times. He's also accused of hanging suspicious bags with razor blades on nearby political signs in Ahwatukee.
This isn't the first time the DNC office, where staff from Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign and other Democratic candidates work, has been targeted. Last month, staff reported seeing gunshots through the front windows. In early September, the office was hit by a pellet or BB gun.
The arrest comes just in time for the critical elections in Arizona, where both Harris and former President Donald Trump are vying for votes. The police will provide more details about the suspect during a press conference on Wednesday.
It's important to note that these incidents could be an attempt to intimidate political workers and disrupt the election process. It's crucial to ensure the safety and security of all political staff, especially during such important times.
