Big changes are happening at Bank of America. The bank just promoted some key people in its technology and media teams. Matthew Sharnoff and Johnny Williams are now the new leaders for global tech investments. They will work together as co-heads. Sharnoff has been with the bank for over 25 years. Williams brings about 30 years of experience to the role. He has worked at BofA for around 20 years and was once a vice chairman at UBS.
Meanwhile, Daniel Kelly and Joseph Valenti are taking over as co-heads for global media and telecom investments. Both have a lot of experience in this area. Kelly has spent his whole career at BofA. Valenti joined the bank in 2022. They both worked together before in their previous roles.
All four of these new leaders will be part of the global investment banking management team. They will report to Faiz Ahmad and Mike Joo, who are the co-heads of global investment banking.
These changes come at a good time for Bank of America. The bank recently reported better-than-expected profits for the third quarter. This shows that dealmaking is picking up again. It's a positive sign for the bank and its future.
