After the breakup, Bryan reportedly offered her a $12 million non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which she turned down. LaPaglia explained that she refused to sign the NDA out of principle. She didn't want to erase her experiences and protect someone who had caused her harm. She shared that Bryan's previous partners had also signed NDAs, but her career in the public eye made it crucial for her fans to know the truth. The relationship had started well, with Bryan being very affectionate, but it quickly took a turn. According to LaPaglia, the emotional abuse became more intense when she traveled with him on tour. Bryan even tried to control her public image and attempted to buy out her Barstool contract. Earlier that week, Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards released a diss track supporting LaPaglia, which was later taken down due to copyright issues.
