In a move that's becoming all too common, the NFL has handed out another suspension for post-game misconduct. This time, it's Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw who's in hot water. The league has suspended him for one game without pay after he had some choice words for referee Brad Allen following Sunday's narrow victory over the Giants. The NFL's decision was based on Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1(b), which basically says players can't use abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures towards anyone involved in the game. And it seems Greenlaw crossed that line. After the game-winning field goal, he chased after Allen and reportedly made some threats as the referee tried to leave the field. But Greenlaw wasn't the only one involved. Linebacker Justin Strnad also had a moment with Allen, apparently slapping him in the back, and not in a friendly way. The NFL's statement didn't mention any disciplinary action against Strnad, though. Greenlaw has the option to appeal the suspension, and the Broncos will have to face the Cowboys without him this Sunday. It's a reminder that while the game is intense, there are lines that shouldn't be crossed, even in the heat of the moment.
