Celebrating Nature and Learning: A Special Day at West Rock Ridge

On Sunday, Southern Connecticut State University is putting on a cool event. It's all about how nature, rules, and teaching can work together for the better. This is also a big deal because it's the 50th birthday of West Rock Ridge State Park. Plus, they're remembering Dr. Stephen Collins, a biology teacher who loved nature. The event starts at 9:15 a. m. and goes until noon. It's at the university's School of Business, Room 102. There will be smart people talking about important stuff. You can even ask them questions! After the chat, if the weather is nice, there's a hike planned at West Rock Ridge State Park. Don't worry about getting there. They'll take you from the university and back. Just bring your own lunch. West Rock Ridge State Park is amazing. From the top, you can see so much! Like New Haven Harbor, Long Island Sound, and even other parks. The park is six miles long. It goes from 400 feet high in New Haven to 715 feet high in Bethany. There are lots of beautiful views. This event is special. It mixes nature, learning, and community.
