Coach Pederson: No Monday Meeting with Owner

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach, Doug Pederson, faced reporters on Monday, following a disastrous 52-6 loss to the Detroit Lions. When asked about the possibility of being fired, Pederson shrugged it off, saying, "If it happens, it happens. " Despite the team's poor showing, nothing had changed by Monday afternoon. Pederson held a routine press conference and the team remained silent about his job security. He mentioned talking to Jaguars owner, Shad Khan, after the loss but clarified there were no scheduled meetings for Monday. The coach said he's still considering changes during the team's bye week. He acknowledged that blaming others for their 2-9 record is risky. "If fingers are pointing, they should point at me, " Pederson said. Though many in Jacksonville might agree with his stance, owner Khan hasn't taken that step yet.
