Community Effort: Buffalo County Teams Up to Fight Hunger

In Buffalo County, Wisconsin, a unique partnership is taking place to help those in need. Buffalo County Health and Human Services and Waumandee State Bank are joining forces to organize a food drive. This event is not just about collecting food; it's about showing how a community can come together to support its own. The food drive is set to run from Friday, November 14th to Friday, November 21st, 2025. This is a great opportunity for everyone to contribute. People are encouraged to drop off canned goods in the designated boxes at various locations. The Buffalo County DHHS office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. For those who need more flexibility, the Buffalo County Government Building South Entrance and the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office are open 24 hours a day. Waumandee State Bank branches are also participating. The Fountain City, Mondovi, and Waumandee branches will have drop-off boxes available. The lobby hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. , and the drive-up hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. , with extended hours on Saturday from 8:30 a. m. to noon.
