Heart failure shoots up past twenty three thousand. When you scale that to a hundred thousand people neuropathy alone hits three hundred seventy seven million dollars. Vision loss is lower but still millions.

Blood sugar control makes a massive difference. People whose HbA1c stayed above seven percent spent an extra fifty three hundred dollars a year compared to those who kept it under seven. That is like adding a whole extra condition just from higher sugar levels.

Better management could save billions and help people feel better. Doctors and patients both win when complications get prevented early. It is not just about numbers it is about real lives and real money.
