Columbia’s upcoming board election is almost here, and all four contenders have met the deadline for their financial disclosures. The Missouri Ethics Commission received the reports by 5 p. m. on Monday, giving voters a clear view of each candidate’s fundraising status. There are four hopefuls vying for three open seats: the current Board President, John Lyman; Vice‑President Paul Harper; long‑time member April Ferrao; and newcomer Dr. Keary Husain. Lyman has collected a modest $500 so far, leaving him with $695 in cash as the campaign nears its end. Harper has outpaced his rivals, raising $1 473 and holding $1 060. 01 on hand. Ferrao’s totals are even higher, with $1 612. 99 raised and $1 170. 25 available. Husain, who is attempting to secure his first position on the board, has raised $690 and retains $500 in reserves.
