Emmitt Smith Sues Over Wind Farm Loan Dispute

Emmitt Smith found himself in legal trouble recently. A group called Kituwah LLC has filed a lawsuit against him. They say Smith and his business partner David Mosley took a $2.5 million loan meant for a Texas wind farm. The money was supposed to help build Project Exodus near Austin and San Antonio.

Kituwah claims the loan grew to about $600,000 because of unpaid interest. Their lawyers argue that Smith and Mosley lied about getting a federal energy department loan. According to the suit, those two men told Kituwah that 4 13 Solutions had already used the money to buy the wind farm project. But the lawsuit says that promise was broken.

The wind farm project was supposed to be ready by December 2024. However, Kituwah saw no proof the project actually existed before that deadline. Smith, who played 13 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, became famous as Super Bowl 28 MVP. He set records with 18,355 rushing yards and helped win three championships.

Smith is now facing a court case where he might lose money. Kituwah wants a jury to decide how much damage he suffered. The lawsuit calls the situation almost like a scam. It asks the judge to look into whether Smith and Mosley were honest when they promised the project would succeed.
