In a unique partnership, Ent Credit Union and the Denver Broncos are coming together to teach high school students in Colorado the ins and outs of financial literacy. The "Adventures in Reality" program is all about preparing students for the real world by simulating real-life budgeting and expense management scenarios. This interactive experience allows students to choose an entry-level career and navigate the costs of housing, food, transportation, and entertainment, all while making financial decisions based on their budget. Imagine walking into a mock apartment and seeing the exact costs of rent, utilities, and furniture. Or, picture yourself at a food truck, weighing the pros and cons of buying lunch versus cooking at home. This is exactly what students will experience during the 50-90 minute program. By making financial decisions, students will learn the importance of managing expenses, building good credit, and budgeting. The program kicks off on September 18th at Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, where Denver Broncos staff, cheerleaders, and players will join Ent Credit Union team members to teach students these valuable life lessons. The goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to make smart short- and long-term financial decisions. In addition to the financial education program, Ent Credit Union has introduced branded debit cards in select Front Range schools. These customized cards feature school logos and encourage responsible financial habits while also giving students, parents, and community members a unique way to support their schools. For every debit charge made, Ent will donate five cents to a school-designated program, helping fund critical extracurricular activities.
