Ford Joins Amazon's Used Car Market

Ford has taken a step into the digital age by listing its certified pre-owned cars on Amazon Autos. This move allows customers in select cities to browse, finance, and even schedule pickups for used Ford vehicles entirely online. The program, kicking off on November 17, offers a manufacturer-backed limited warranty and a money-back guarantee for all vehicles sold through Amazon Autos. Initially, Ford's certified pre-owned vehicles will be available in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas. However, the automaker plans to expand to more markets in the coming months. Ford's spokesman, Said Deep, mentioned that over 160 dealers across the country have shown interest in the program, with some in Michigan already on board. By partnering with Amazon Autos, Ford aims to streamline the car-buying process. This allows dealers to focus more on the in-person experience, as the initial steps of shopping and financing are handled online. Robert Kaffl, Ford's executive director of U. S. Sales and Dealer Relations, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, highlighting the benefits for both dealers and customers. Amazon Autos, which launched with new Hyundai vehicles last December, has been expanding its services. In August 2025, it announced the inclusion of used and certified pre-owned vehicles from various brands. The addition of Ford's certified pre-owned vehicles is seen as an exciting expansion, offering customers access to thousands of quality vehicles backed by Ford's comprehensive inspection and warranty programs. Customers can browse Ford's certified pre-owned inventory within a 75-mile radius of their home. They can search by make, model, year, and color, with each listing including price, vehicle history, and specifications. Once a customer decides on a vehicle, they can secure financing, start paperwork, and schedule a pickup time at their local Ford dealer. Ford offers three certification types for its pre-owned vehicles: Gold Certified, EV Certified, and Blue Certified. Each tier comes with a different level of inspection and warranty coverage, ensuring customers have options that suit their needs. All certified used cars sold on Amazon Autos come with a 14-day/1, 000-mile money-back guarantee, providing an extra layer of assurance for buyers.
