Xavier Babudar, known as 'ChiefsAholic,' was a Kansas City Chiefs fan whose passion for the team took a dark turn when he allegedly robbed banks across seven states. He stole over $800,000 which he used to fund his fandom, attending games and building an online following. Prosecutors say Babudar used the stolen money to chase a lavish lifestyle centered around supporting the Chiefs. In March 2023, shortly after winning money betting on the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, Babudar cut off his ankle monitor while out on bond and disappeared before being arrested again in Sacramento for robbing two more banks. He pleaded guilty to bank robbery, money laundering, and transporting stolen property across state lines.
