Geoff Boyd Steps Into Senior VP Role at Peoples Bank Lender Finance Division

A familiar face in Texas banking is moving up. Geoff Boyd now serves as senior vice president and lender at Peoples Bank, joining the lender finance department. The announcement came straight from the company itself.

Larry Allen, who serves as the Peoples Bank Area Chairman, and Greg Jackson, Chief Lending Officer and Executive Vice President for Cornerstone Capital Bank, shared the news together. Boyd brings nearly two decades of banking knowledge to the table. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Management from Abilene Christian University, laying the groundwork for his career early on.

Boyd stays active in his professional community. He holds an associate membership with the Lubbock Executive Association. He also completed Leadership Lubbock in 2025, showing his commitment to growing as a leader. His office will be at the 5820 82nd St. branch.

Away from work, Boyd has plenty going on. He and his wife Kate have been married for 19 years. They have three kids together, two daughters and one son. The family attends Melonie Park Church and stays busy with outdoor activities. Boyd likes golfing, fishing, and snow skiing whenever he gets the chance. Family time tops his list though.

This hire fits a bigger picture for Peoples Bank. Bringing in someone with Boyd's background and community ties could strengthen their lender finance team. His mix of education, local connections, and years in banking make him a solid pick for the role. It will be interesting to see how his leadership shapes the department going forward.
