Giants Shake Up Quarterback Plans: Winston Steps In

The New York Giants are making some big changes at quarterback. Mike Kafka, the new interim coach, has decided that Jameis Winston will start if Jaxson Dart can't play this Sunday against the Packers. Dart, the rookie who has been doing well, is still dealing with a concussion. It looks like he won't be ready in time for the game. Winston is now ahead of Russell Wilson, who started the first three games this season. Wilson hasn't been doing great. He lost all three games he started, even though he had a good game in Dallas. His other two starts were not so good. Last week, when Dart got hurt, Wilson came in and things didn't go well. He only completed a few passes and got sacked twice. Winston has been a good teammate. He's been helping out Dart and other players. He's known for being funny in front of cameras, but he's serious when it's time to work. Winston has played in the NFL for 10 years. He's started 87 games and has thrown for a lot of touchdowns and interceptions. Kafka, who used to be the offensive coordinator, is now the interim coach. He has to lead the team after the previous coach was fired. The Giants have been losing a lot of games lately. Kafka will have his first practice as coach with Winston as the starting quarterback.
