Ever felt frustrated about having to squeeze your favorite shampoo into a tiny bottle before a flight? Well, that could soon change! The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is considering relaxing the rules on liquid sizes in carry-on bags. This means you might be able to bring full-size liquids on board, just like in Europe and New Zealand. Imagine not having to worry about that 100ml limit anymore!
These changes come after years of strict rules put in place after the 9/11 attacks. But now, with advanced technology like computed tomography scanners, the TSA thinks it can safely allow more liquids. These scanners can create 3D images and spot unauthorized liquids, making it easier to keep us safe.
Already, there are 12 items that are allowed through security, like breastmilk, baby food, and certain medications. But the TSA is looking into expanding this list. They'll also need to make sure all liquids are safe, which might mean asking passengers for liquid tests.
The process might take some time, as the TSA has to consult with its employees and ensure all 430 airports in the US are ready. But who knows? You might soon be able to bring your full-size toothpaste on board without any hassle.
