In the world of ice hockey, achieving 1, 000 career points is a massive deal. Bobby Hull of the Chicago Black Hawks did just that in 1971. During a game against the Minnesota North Stars, Hull scored his 1, 000th point with an assist in the first period. This significant milestone came in a 5-3 victory that showcased Hull's skills and consistency over his career. But let's rewind a bit. Before Hull's achievement, other sports stars also made history on this date. In 1937, rookie quarterback Sammy Baugh turned the tide with some impressive touchdown passes. He led the Washington Redskins to a 28-21 victory over the Chicago Bears in the NFL championship. That was quite a debut!
