In-N-Out Debuts at Great Park’s New Shopping Hub

Last weekend, fans at the Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival parked near a brand‑new In‑N‑Out that was still closed. They arrived six days early, only to find the drive‑thru locked, and they vented their disappointment on social media. The festival grounds are only half a mile from the new restaurant, so the crowd could see the building from a distance.

The burger joint opened its doors on Friday morning, September 4, becoming the very first tenant in The Canopy at Great Park. Dan Almquist, who leads the 12‑acre development, visited the site Thursday evening, according to his representatives. Employees in bright uniforms lined up outside to welcome the first visitors.

In addition to In‑N‑Out, the center will host McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, Palmetto Superfoods, Baba’s Hot Chicken, Brooks Running and La Jolla Cosmetic. A press release also named Philz Coffee, Shootz and The Taco Stand as upcoming vendors, while T&T Supermarket plans its first Orange County outlet in the spring. Almquist’s other Southern California projects span from San Juan Capistrano to Whittier, including River Street Marketplace, the beautified Capistrano Plaza, New Haven Marketplace and The Groves.

The drive‑thru is located at 7900 Great Park Blvd and operates from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, with hours extended to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
