Iran and Israel: A Call for Peace at the UN

China's UN Ambassador, Fu Cong, called for an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of fighting in the region. Russia's UN Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, criticized the U. S. for backing Israel's use of force. The UK's UN Ambassador, Barbara Woodward, urged all sides to show restraint to prevent further violence.
