President Joe Biden is on his final lap in politics, determined to promote his record and support Democrats in the lead-up to Election Day. With just a week to go, Biden is keeping his schedule busy, even though many in his party seem to be keeping him at arm's length. He's been doing surrogate work while also handling his presidential duties. Biden hasn’t shared the stage with Vice President Kamala Harris since their Labor Day event, but he claims they’re still in close contact. The outgoing president is planning more campaign stops, including a visit to his hometown Scranton, Pennsylvania. He’s treading carefully, picking spots where his presence might be most effective. Former President Donald Trump, meanwhile, is using social media to poke fun at Democrats for wanting to keep Biden distant from their campaigns. Not all Democrats are avoiding Biden, though. Sen. Bob Casey from Pennsylvania and Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester from Delaware, both with strong ties to Biden, have campaigned with him this month. Rochester, who is running for Senate, joined Biden for breakfast and early voting. Biden has been using his campaign stops to criticize Trump and his supporters, including Elon Musk. While Biden remains positive, his final campaign push is marked by a mix of support and distance from his party.
