Ever heard of Sam Bankman-Fried? He's the guy who turned the crypto world upside down. Now, Apple and A24 are teaming up to tell his story in a new movie. Lena Dunham, the creator of "Girls, " is writing the script. It's based on Michael Lewis' book "Going Infinite, " which dives into the rise and fall of Bankman-Fried and his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX. FTX started in 2019 and became huge. But in 2022, things fell apart. Billions of dollars vanished when lots of customers tried to withdraw their money at once. Bankman-Fried got in trouble for fraud and money laundering. Dunham is no stranger to storytelling. She's worked on shows like "Girls, " "Camping, " and "Generation, " and even co-created a Netflix series called "Too Much. " In film, she's directed and written movies like "Catherine Called Birdy" and "Sharp Stick. " This isn't the first time Apple and A24 have worked together. They've made movies like "On the Rocks" and "The Tragedy of Macbeth. " Other streaming services are also interested in Bankman-Fried's story. Amazon ordered a series about the collapse of FTX, and another streamer is preparing a limited series with a big name attached.
