The victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment. Meanwhile, in Homewood, a man with a gun demanded $300 from a gas station clerk. Devon Smallwood, 35, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon.
In Oak Lawn, a man was caught breaking into a house on Halloween night. Michael Walla, 52, was found hiding in a bathroom after a trick-or-treater saw him inside. He was charged with residential burglary. In the same area, Domingo Garcia, 51, was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding, and transporting alcohol illegally.
