Merab Dvalishvili Pauses Wife Hunt, Focuses on UFC Trilogy Clash

Merab Dvalishvili is putting his search for a wife on hold. The UFC fighter says living in Las Vegas makes it tough to meet the right person. He told Ariel Helwani he needs a break from dating right now.

Dvalishvili wants to marry a Georgian woman. But he says most Georgian women in the U.S. end up marrying Americans. He joked, asking them to choose him instead. His friend Aljamain Sterling getting married in October 2023 inspired him to look for love.

The 35-year-old moved to Las Vegas in February 2024. He relocated from New York to train better. The move gave him access to top gyms and resources. He also became a U.S. citizen in March 2024.

In the octagon, Dvalishvili had a 14-fight win streak. He won the bantamweight title and defended it three times. Petr Yan beat him at UFC 323. Now they're set for a trilogy fight at UFC 333. The belt is on the line again.

Right now, fighting comes first. Dvalishvili says he's too busy to focus on finding a partner. He plans to return to the search later. For now, his mind is on the upcoming title clash.
