Another focused on how nurses are trained. A third dealt with leadership and rules. The last theme was about measuring results. These areas show where nursing needs more attention.

A big gap is using tools to predict the future. Methods like scenarios or backcasting are rare. Most studies stick to what’s already known. This limits how well nurses can prepare. Education programs might not teach these skills. Leaders could miss out on better strategies.

The findings suggest a need for change. Nursing should explore new ways to think about the future. This could mean training in foresight tools. It might also involve more diverse ideas. The goal is to handle disruptions better. Without this, nursing may struggle with upcoming changes.
