It's the season of leaks! Rumors have it that Nvidia is gearing up to launch some beefy new RTX 50-series graphics cards at CES in January. Partner companies like Zotac and Acer have inadvertently given us a sneak peek. We're talking about four high-end models: RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and the plain RTX 5070. Additionally, there's a RTX 5090D version tailored for the Chinese market, considering current export restrictions. What's catching our eye? The RTX 5090 is said to pack a whopping 32GB of GDDR7 memory, an upgrade from the 4090's 24GB of GDDR6X. Even Acer's spec sheets for their new Predator Orion desktops confirm this, with both the 5090 and 4090 showing 32GB of GDDR7. The RTX 5080 is listed with 16GB, the same as the 4080 and 4080 Super. Why is the 5090 a big deal? It's been over two years since we saw a significant performance bump in the GPU market. The rumored 4090 Super never materialized, and AMD's top card is more in line with Nvidia's 4080 series. So, for those who crave the best, the 5090 promises to be the first true high-end upgrade in a while.
