Olivia Munn Bares Scars, Found Her Strength

Actress Olivia Munn, who had a double mastectomy after a breast cancer diagnosis, has gone topless in a new ad for Skims. The campaign, released during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shows Munn wearing Skims bras, including one that reveals her mastectomy scars. She shared that seeing her scars makes her feel grateful for her strength. The decision to show her scars wasn't planned. Munn explained that during the photoshoot, they had trouble covering them with makeup. Looking in the mirror, she decided she was done being insecure about them. Skims is donating 10% of each bra's retail sales price from Oct. 23 to Oct. 31 to Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer organization. Munn, known for her roles in “The Newsroom” and “The Daily Show, ” went public with her cancer journey earlier this year. She had a double mastectomy in March and later underwent a hysterectomy. She has used her platform to raise awareness about her experience. “It was a big decision to make, ” she said in an interview for Vogue on Mother's Day.
