It's been a year since the war in Gaza started, and the Israeli military is still going strong. Despite their goal to defeat Hamas, they're not there yet. Just the other day, they told people in northern and southern Gaza to leave their homes because of new military operations. In a place called Jabalya, northern Gaza, the military said they saw signs of Hamas rebuilding, so they started a new ground operation. Meanwhile, Hamas' military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said they're still fighting back. They even said their fighters are in close combat with Israeli forces. The fighting has taken a toll, with many people getting hurt and killed. Hospitals in the north said they received bodies and injured people from Israeli artillery fire. Later that day, an airstrike in Jabalya killed at least 10 people and injured 20 more. The situation is getting tough for the people living there. Many have already fled to a place called Al Mawasi, which is now overcrowded with refugees. More people are being told to leave their homes and go to Al Mawasi, making the situation even worse. Lena, who works for a non-profit organization called Mercy Corps, has had to move more than a dozen times since the war started. She said she and her family haven't had a comfortable life in over a year. They haven't been able to put their clothes away, take proper baths, eat meals in peace, or sleep on real beds.
