The New England Patriots have had a rough season, and it didn't get any better on Sunday. They lost to the Tennessee Titans in overtime, making their record 2-7. The game was close, with a final score of 20-17, but the Patriots just couldn't pull it off.
Rookie quarterback Drake Maye had a mix of good and bad plays. He completed 29 out of 41 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown, but also threw two interceptions. He even had 95 rushing yards, showing his versatility. However, his fumble in the fourth quarter led to a Titans touchdown, giving them a 17-10 lead.
The Patriots' receiving corps was also a bit of a mess. Two of their wide receivers, K. J. Osborn and Tyquan Thornton, were healthy but didn't play. Kendrick Bourne led the team with four receptions and 41 yards.
The offensive line was shuffled again, with a new combination for the eighth time this season. This didn't help, as the Titans managed to sack Maye four times.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson had a tough day on the ground, only gaining 16 yards on 10 carries. He did score a touchdown, though, tying his career high for the season.
The Titans' quarterback, Mason Rudolph, had a better day than Maye. He completed 20 out of 33 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns, with just one interception.
The Patriots' defense had a tough time stopping the Titans' running back, Tony Pollard, who rushed for 128 yards on 28 carries.
On special teams, Nick Folk, who used to play for the Patriots, went 2-for-2 on field goals and extra points for the Titans. The Patriots' kicker, Joey Slye, missed his first field goal attempt but made his second one.
Overall, it was a frustrating game for the Patriots. They had chances to win but couldn't take advantage of them.
