Rangers Chairman Steps Down for New Ventures

Neil Leibman, a key figure in the Texas Rangers' ownership group, has left his role as chairman of the team's sports and entertainment group. He made this decision to pursue other business opportunities.

Leibman was a crucial part of the team's leadership since the ownership group bought the Rangers in 2010. He played a significant role in the team's business operations and was involved in some of the most memorable moments in franchise history.

As chairman of Rangers Sports Media & Entertainment Company, Leibman oversaw the team's local television broadcasts, the Rangers Sports Network, and REV Entertainment, the team's official sports and entertainment partner. He also served as the team's COO and president of business operations before becoming chairman of the Rangers ownership committee in 2013.

Leibman's contributions to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and his role in building Globe Life Field and developing the Arlington Entertainment District will be remembered as part of his legacy. The team's majority owner, Ray Davis, praised Leibman's dedication and hard work during his time with the Rangers.
