"When I was little, I'd wake up at night to find him, " Rashida wrote. "He'd always be somewhere in the house, working on his music. He never sent me back to bed. Instead, he'd hug me and bring me into his arms while he continued to work. I felt so safe with him. " Her words highlight the deep love and connection they shared. Rashida emphasized that her father's music and work were channels for his love. "He was love, " she said. "He made everyone he met feel loved and seen.
