Religion's Role in Daily Life: A Changing Landscape

In the past decade, there's been a noticeable shift in how Americans view religion's role in their everyday lives. A recent survey reveals that fewer people now consider religion a significant part of their daily routines compared to 10 years ago. This change is quite substantial, with a drop from 66% in 2015 to 49% this year. This decline is one of the steepest seen in the survey's global records over a 10-year period. This trend isn't just limited to one age group; it's happening across all major age categories. However, younger adults are still the least likely to say that religion guides their daily activities. The survey was conducted through phone interviews between June 14 and July 16, involving 1, 000 adults aged 15 and older from all states. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 4. 4 percentage points.
