Russia has just made it easier for many Chinese citizens to visit. President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing tourists, business people, academics, artists, and athletes from China to enter Russia without a visa for up to 30 days. This move is seen as a way to strengthen ties between the two countries. This decision comes after China made a similar move, allowing Russians to visit without a visa for the same amount of time. Both countries seem to be working together more closely, especially since Russia faced sanctions from the West. China has been a big help, providing imports that Russia needs. The new rule will last until September 2026. However, it does not apply to Chinese workers who want to stay long-term, students, or those working in logistics and transport. This means the rule is more about short visits than long-term stays. China's Foreign Ministry announced in September that Russian citizens with ordinary passports can also visit China without a visa for up to 30 days. This is part of a one-year program starting from September 15. This mutual agreement shows a growing partnership between Russia and China. It's interesting to see how these two countries are supporting each other, especially in times of international tension.
