They also showed support for Venezuela's leaders. The U. S. has been busy in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, targeting boats they say are involved in illegal drug trade. They've targeted at least 14 boats and unfortunately, 61 people have lost their lives. The U. S. has also increased its military presence in the area. Russia and Venezuela have a strong partnership.
