A 20-year-old college student in San Diego narrowly avoided getting tangled in what she claims was a bold scam. She says a man pretending to be an NFL player tried pulling her into a world of luxury and status. The encounter reportedly happened back in April at a strip club called Cheetahs in San Diego. That is where she says she first crossed paths with a man named Daejon Love.

According to her account, Love quickly began messaging her after their initial meeting. He bragged about driving Lamborghinis, shared details about NFL-style training routines, and even asked how much she paid in monthly bills. His tone strongly hinted that he could simply cover those expenses for her. TMZ secured video clips showing Love on camera, living in a way that seemed designed to make his story believable.

The young woman eventually agreed to see him in person. Love sent an Uber to pick her up, but she claims he insisted the driver could not bring her to his real home. He reportedly said he was "high profile" and could not risk being seen publicly. When she arrived, she was taken to an Airbnb in El Cajon instead. Another person, identified as Taylor Chan, was allegedly waiting there with him.

Once together, she says Love laid out an elaborate pitch. He promised free tickets to NFL games, a Mercedes G-Wagon, pricey jewelry, multiple properties, and ongoing financial support. The overall picture he painted looked like the life of an "NFL wife," complete with hints that a physical relationship would be part of the deal. He also allegedly described himself as "super wealthy" and showed her what looked like large account balances. He floated an investment idea too, but she claims he pulled back once he realized she was just a college student with very little money.

After walking away from the meeting, she started digging into his background. She checked his Instagram profile, ran his name through Google, and eventually found Reddit threads where other women accused him of running scams. Those discoveries pushed her to cut all contact with him right away. She told TMZ she never reported the situation to federal authorities and has no plans to, since she never actually lost any cash. Love and Chan are accused of targeting 26 women and swindling around 1.3 million dollars, though in her case, she says he walked away empty-handed.
