Saturday Night Live (SNL) recently stirred up some laughs at the expense of billionaire Elon Musk. In a post-election episode, the show took a swipe at Musk and former president Donald Trump. The comedy sketch featured actor Dana Carvey impersonating Musk in a way that many found humorous but not everyone appreciated. Musk, who had hosted SNL back in 2021, wasn't pleased with the portrayal. He took to Twitter, a platform he now owns, to express his displeasure. "They are so mad that @realDonaldTrump won, " he wrote, also criticizing Carvey's performance. The mocking didn't stop at Musk. SNL also poked fun at Trump's recent victory in a cold open, with cast members sarcastically supporting the president-elect. This bit came days after Trump's win, which shocked many in Hollywood. Musk's support for Trump isn't new. He's been a vocal defender of the Republican, and his high hopes for the future were made clear after the election. During his SNL hosting gig, Musk joked about being the first person with Asperger’s syndrome to host and poked fun at his child's unique name. But not everyone in Hollywood was rooting for Trump. Stars like Harrison Ford and Jennifer Aniston publicly backed Kamala Harris during the election. It’s clear that political views in the entertainment world are as diverse as the personalities themselves.
