The Snow League is back, and this time, it's heading to China. After a successful start in Aspen, the league is expanding its reach. Now, not only snowboarders but also freeskiers will compete. This is a big deal because it's not just about snowboarding anymore. It's a true winter sports league.
The next event is in Yunding Snow Park, China, from December 4 to 6, 2025. This is the same place where the Beijing 2022 winter sports happened. The league is broadcasting this event in over 175 countries. So, no matter where you are, you can watch it live or catch the recap shows.
The prize money is huge. For snowboarding, there's $1. 6 million up for grabs across all events. The freeskiers have $580, 000 to compete for. And here's something cool: every athlete gets a $5, 000 appearance fee at each event. That's a big deal because not many leagues offer that.
In the first event, Sena Tomita and Yuto Totsuka won the snowboarding competitions. They each took home $50, 000. The league plans to add more disciplines like slopestyle and rails in the future. So, it's not just about halfpipe anymore.
The league is also making sure that both men and women get equal prize money. That's a big step towards fairness in sports. The top three freeski finishers will get $80, 000 in championship awards. That's a lot of money for doing what they love.
If you want to watch the event, you can tune in to NBC in the U. S. or check out the other global broadcasters. You can also stream it on Peacock. The league will return to Aspen in February 2026 for the third event and wrap up the season in Laax, Switzerland, in March.
