Murata and Cadence have joined forces to make life easier for engineers. They've put Murata's inductor and capacitor products right into Cadence's top design software. This means engineers can pick these parts and test them out without any hassle. It's all about making circuit design faster and more efficient, especially for power supplies, high-frequency circuits, and noise control.
Engineers used to have to download these models from Murata's website or get them from sales reps. Then they had to install them manually. That took time and effort. But now, with this new setup, everything is right there in the software. This is a big deal because it helps engineers check signal quality, power supply stability, and noise levels more accurately.
Murata has provided both static and dynamic models for OrCAD X Capture and Allegro X System Capture. These models are great for general circuit design. The dynamic models are especially useful because they show how parts behave in real-world conditions, like with DC and frequency changes. Engineers have a lot to choose from, with about 1, 600 power inductors and 5, 000 RF inductors available.
For those working on RF and microwave circuits, the AWR Design Environment has a library of Murata's static models. This includes around 5, 000 RF inductors and 24, 000 multilayer ceramic capacitors. Murata sees this as a big step forward. They plan to keep adding to these libraries and even automate updates through an API. This way, engineers always have the latest models at their fingertips.
Murata's product data can also be downloaded from their website for use with OrCAD X Capture and AWR Design Environment. Plus, there's data available for the PSpice circuit simulator. This is all part of Murata's goal to make electronic design more efficient and precise.
