St. Cloud State's Homecoming Weekend: Fun for All Ages

St. Cloud State University is buzzing with excitement this weekend. It's Homecoming time, and there's a packed schedule of events from Wednesday to Saturday. Some are just for students, but many are open to everyone. On Saturday, the planetarium is hosting special shows at 11:00 a. m. and 12:30 p. m. This year, there's a new event called Huskies Headquarters. It's happening from 11:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. at Husky Plaza. Expect live music from the Muffler Band, inflatables, games like hammerschlagen and bean bag tournaments, and even a beverage tent. Later that afternoon, the fun continues with a free outdoor concert by the LA Gears from 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. on the former Press Bar lot. Both events are open to the public. Sports fans have plenty to cheer about too. The volleyball team is playing at home on Friday at 6:00 p. m. against Northern State and on Saturday at 2:30 p. m. against Jamestown. The men's hockey team is also in action, facing Alaska Anchorage on Friday at 7:00 p. m. and on Saturday at 6:00 p. m. And there's more! After the hockey game on Saturday, fireworks will light up the sky from the north end of the N parking lot. It's a great way to end a fun-filled weekend.
