Stellar Sounds: Bridgers' Album Debuts Under the Stars

In a unique blend of music and astronomy, Phoebe Bridgers' new album, Lost Weekend, will be showcased at the Liberty Science Center's Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium in Jersey City. This event is part of a global phenomenon, with roughly three dozen planetariums worldwide hosting early listening events for the album. The Jersey City venue is one of only two in New Jersey, giving fans a chance to experience the album in a truly out-of-this-world setting.

The planetarium's massive dome, featuring 88 million pixels and 30,000 watts of digital sound, will transport listeners to a cosmic world as they hear the full album paired with sweeping visuals. This is the first solo album from Bridgers since Punisher in 2020, and fans are eager to experience it in a way that's both intimate and awe-inspiring.

The event is device-free, with phones secured in Yondr pouches on arrival. This ensures that attendees can fully immerse themselves in the music and visuals without distractions. The experience is open to all ages and is presented in partnership with Spotify. Two showtimes remain: a Planetarium Experience on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 4:20 p.m., and a Laser Show Experience on Friday, Aug. 14, at 3:25 p.m.
