Sushi on a Conveyor Belt Just Hit Parsippany

Hey, here is something cool for food lovers in New Jersey. Kura Sushi is bringing its conveyor belt magic to Parsippany. The new spot opens on August 21 at 11:30 in the morning, and it will be the eighth location for this chain in the Garden State. You can find it at The District at 15Fifteen on Route 10.

So how does this place work? Plates glide past you on a moving belt. The system keeps everything fresh using special lids with tracking technology. Want something specific? No problem. You can order through a touch screen, and an express belt brings your food straight from the kitchen. The menu has over 100 options, from sushi to noodles, tempura to desserts. Everything is made without fake colors, preservatives, or sweeteners.

Here is the fun part. Every table has a prize game. After you eat 15 plates, then 25 plates, and then every 15 plates after that, you get a chance to win something. The screen plays a little animation each time you insert five plates into the slot. It makes dinner feel like an arcade.

The opening day has some extras too. The first 150 people who sit down will grab a free commemorative T-shirt. Members of the rewards program who check in between August 21 and 23 can enter a giveaway for a $300 gift card. Five people will win. That card covers one $25 meal each month for a whole year.

Kura Sushi has grown fast in New Jersey. Their first state location opened in Fort Lee back in 2020. Then came Jersey City in 2022, Edison in 2023, Cherry Hill in 2024, and three more spots in Paramus, Freehold, and Lawrenceville in 2025. If you want to check it out, book a table through the app or the website. The restaurant stays open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. You can reserve a spot up to one week ahead.
