Sadly, a night of fun turned into a nightmare for many at a Baton Rouge nightclub called Sunrise All Entertainment Event Center. Early Sunday morning, as the concert was wrapping up, shots echoed through the parking lot. Six people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds, and sadly, 35-year-old Dexter Cormier lost his life. Derick Brown, one of the venue owners, spoke with local news, clarifying that those involved in the shooting weren't even patrons of his business. He emphasized the strict security measures in place, including paying police officers and security guards scattered around the lot. He expressed frustration over the negative impact on his business's reputation. Two men, Michael Robinson and Tyrelle Hamilton, were arrested in connection with the shooting. Brown emphasized that the shooters never entered the establishment.
